Abstract: | Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) are regulators of renal phosphate excretion and vitamin D metabolism. In chronic kidney disease (CKD), circulating FGF23 and PTH concentrations progressively increase as renal function declines. |
