Abstract:In this episode of the Power Skills Project, Adam is joined by Thrive Programme coach Kayane Watson. Kayane is a licenced Thrive Programme Coach. She has a passion for helping people live better by teaching them how to take control of their lives and mental health. For those who haven't heard of The Thrive Programme, it's a unique educational programme that spans 6-8 weeks and helps people develop an awareness of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions as well as coping skills and strategies to help reduce stress, anxiety and phobias. In this episode, Adam and Kayane first dive into why people feel stress and anxiety and discuss how work can contribute to anxiety, stress and burnout. They then look at ways you can help reduce stress and anxiety for yourself or others. Kayane's top tips for reducing stress and anxiety for yourself or others include: Start today Seek help Invest in yourself Be aware and critical of your limiting beliefs Learn to take a break and do nothing Set boundaries Understand that change is a process Appreciate the small things you are grateful for Stress affects so many of us.
