Abstract

According to Microsoft’s latest Work Trend Index survey, about half of employees are experiencing burnout. In this article, the authors discuss the importance of measuring all of the factors that contribute to burnout; its three primary symptoms; its impact in the workplace; and what leaders, managers, and employees can do to mitigate burnout’s negative effects.
