Abstract

"Increasingly executives are facing unprecedented levels of complexity and shifting societal, political, and technological dynamics. This new context requires transformational change and fresh ways of thinking. While traditional approaches are still relevant for some aspects of innovation, they are best applied when addressing a known set of problems with reasonable clarity around potential solutions. That is not the situation challenging many of the executives with whom we work. These executives are trying to shape futures where not only is the potential solution unclear but even the problem itself is murky. The Breakthrough Manifesto is based on more than a decade of work around how to effectively tackle these sorts of issues and opportunities. It comprises a set of 10 principles that dive into the science of human behavior to help people create a new mindset and get to breakthrough.
