Abstract

Scala 3: The "Fun"ctional Parts is an intensive session covering the perplexing aspects of Scala. You can already do the easy things—assign a variable, make methods, and compile classes—but what is a typeclass? Why would you use it? What is given and using? Are these constructs out to make your life more difficult than need be, or are there some fundamental reasons why you would need these things?
