Abstract

Preserving good skin condition has significant quality of life implications for diabetic patients, especially for those suffering from related ulcers or diabetic foot syndrome. This timely work on the cutaneous manifestations of diabetes offers an interdisciplinary approach to help the practitioner’s differential diagnosis and choice of the best therapeutic options. Starting from the broader picture to focus successively on infections of the skin, problems resulting from reduced circulation, leg ulcers, it also includes parts on wound and skin care. Chapter topics include complications and imaging, dermatoses and (auto) inflammatory skin diseases.
