Abstract

"This accessible textbook introduces the core concepts and issues of translation relevant for the training of audiovisual translators. Structured around different characteristics and problem areas in AVT, this text provides the scaffolding for shaping informed, critical thinkers and astute translators. Adopting a theory-driven approach, with short theoretical introductions and clear definitions, the authors incorporate polemical issues to encourage readers to find their own answers and opinions.
