| Abstract: | There is good evidence that intuitive judgments can be superior to or at least as good as deliberative judgments even if one is to take objective criteria as a benchmark (Plessner & Czenna, chap. 15, this volume). In this chapter, - however, we deal with the limitations of intuitive judgments. We approach this - topic by considering the sampling processes that have been proposed to underlie - social judgments (Fiedler, 2000). From this perspective, we address the following - question: When should people trust their intuition and when not? |
