Abstract

Data communications and computer networks are two aspects of a multifarious field that caters to both telecommunications and computing industries. Over the past 10 years, an enormous growth has been seen in this field. Nowadays, when we talk about communications and networking, we are not restricted to just traditional telephone networks or wired LANs such as Ethernet; rather, we have plentiful new developments including Wi-Fi, 2G and 3G mobile networks, Bluetooth, WAP and wireless local loops. Because of these technological advancements, the demand for the courses on data communications and computer networks has been continuously increasing.
